Beware The Pink Flamingoes!

June 27, 2017
Emmetsburg News
As Relay day quickly approaches Team Tonderum continues a feathered tradition that many in the community have participated in over the last decade. The traveling flocks of flamingos will once again be making their way into yards throughout the city of Emmetsburg.
Team Tonderum inherited this fundraiser from Cure Crusaders, who had filled yards with the pink plastic birds for a number of years.
Flocks will begin their journey on Saturday, July 1st and end the morning of Relay, Saturday, July 15th. If you find a flock of flamingos in your yard, please feed them a generous donation and contact the number on the paperwork displayed with the birds to forward them to a friend whose yard must be graced with their presence. Raffle tickets will also travel with the flock.
All donations are going directly to Relay for Life. Relay for Life will be held July 15th at Soper Park from 3pm to 9pm. Any questions or if you’d like to reserve a flock please call Kristy at 319-404-5557.
