E-Hawks, Lady E-Hawks Earn All Conference Track Honors

ESTHERVILLE - Both the Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawk and E-Hawk Track and Field squads earned All Conference honors from efforts at last Thursday's Lakes Conference Track meet at Estherville.

The Lady E-Hawks would earn four All Conference recognitions while the E-Hawk boys collected three All Conference Honors. All Conference honors are accorded to all first and second place performances at the Conference meet as both boys and girls teams finished fifth overall.

Lady E-Hawk Results

For the Lady E-Hawks and Coach Jared Pickett, seniors Shelby Loomis, Bailey Naig and Kayla Joyce all earned All Conference honors along with the shuttle hurdle relay squad.

Shelby Loomis would earn a second place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of :27.30 for her individual honor, while Bailey Naig took second in the 100 meter hurdles with her :16.85 clocking. Kayla Joyce earned the runner-up finish in the discus competition with a thow of 108'10" and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Bailey Naig, Lindsay Carter, Ali Laubenthal and Hailey Foxhoven took the second place finish with a time of 1:10.65.

Annie Brennan would earn a third place finish in the shot put with her throw of 33'9", while Kayla Joyce finished eighth with a 31'6" throw. Molly Schany earned fourth place in the discus, throwing 99'2".

Hailey Foxhoven took fourth place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.30 and Lindsay Carter was 13th in 1:26.62.

Raven Brown would finish fifth in the3000 meter run with a time of 11:45.61, while Gabrielle Janssen earned seventh place in the 1500 meter run with her time of 5:39.94.

Kate Jackson earned a seventh place finish in the 800 meter run with a 2:46.657 clocking and teammate Jordan Hoyman was eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:49.57. Lindsay Carter finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles in :17.83, while Molly Schany earned a 12th place finish in the 400 meter dash in 1:06.13 and 12th in the 200 meter dash in :30.00 and Natascha Kwakkelstein would finish 15th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:16.09.

Ali Laubenthal earned a seventh place finish in the high jump by clearing 4'6", while Lindsay Carter placed seventh in the long jump, leaping 14'5.5", while Morgan Jamison jumped 11'6.75" to place 13th in the long jump to round out the individual events.

Emmetsburg's 4x100 relay would place eighth with a time of :57.34, while the 4x200 relay finished eighth with a time of 2:06.88. The 4x400 relay turned in a time of 4:26.59 to finish in seventh place while the 4x800 relay earned fourth place with at time of 10:58.91.

The Sprint Medley relay group earned a fifth place finish with a time of 1:57.17 and the Distance Medley Relay finished in fifth with a time of 4:43.00.

E-Hawk Results

Coach Tyler Beving's E-Hawks picked up a trio of All Conference honors on Thursday, starting with Blake VerMulm in the 200 meter dash and Zach Foxhoven in the High Jump, along with the E-Hawks' 4x200 relay.

Junior Blake VerMulm continued to run well in the 200 meter dash, earning a second place finish on Thursday with a time of :23.52 for his All Conference honors, while Zach Foxhoven earned second place in the high jump, clearing 6' even. The 4x200 relay of Aaron Hutchison, Brent Wesley, Blake VerMulm and Grant Deitering also earned the All Conference honor with their second place finish time of 1:33.18.

Dalton Connelly earned a fifth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.83, while Brent Wesley finished sixth in the 100 meter dash in a time of :12.26. Cruz Bowman would finish sixth in the 1600 meter run in 4:58.80 and then took sixth in the 3200 meter run in 10:37.40, while Dawson Carlson earned a 12th place finish in the 1600 meters in a time of 5:13.12.

Zach Foxhoven earned a ninth place finish in the 400 meter dash in :57.05 and Zach Yates finished 16th in the 400 meters in 1:01.55. Jacob Myers earned an eighth place finish in the discus throwing 119'4', while AJ Krieg finished 12th in the long jump with a leap of 17'6.5".

Nick Schany would finish 11th in the shot put, throwing 39'8.5" and Max Dunlap finished 13th in the shot put with a throw of 38'1".

Emmetsburg's 4x100 relay would finish fourth in a time of :45.29 while the 4x400 relay earned a fourth place finish in a time of 3:45.76. The Distance Medley Relay would round out the finishes with an eighth place effort of 4:06.98.

Both the E-Hawks and Lady E-Hawks travel to Garner this Thursday for the Class 2A District and Regional Track Meets. Action begins at 4:00 p.m.
