Emmetsburg: “A Special Community”

September 1, 2015
Emmetsburg News

To the Editor:

Five short years ago our family took a risk and moved to an area where we had no family or friends. We made the move, in part, because of the stellar reputation that this community possessed. The past five years in Emmetsburg have flown by and we have been humbled by the support that we've received from the community. People often ask, "What is the appeal of Emmetsburg?" Our answer is always, "The people here make you feel like family."

We've recently added to the family: Reis Jager Pickett was born August 18th at Palo Alto County Hospital. Reis was born 21-inches long and weighed 7 lbs and 8 oz. Our family reaffirmed why this is such a special community; the outstanding care from our nurses, the hospitality of the kitchen staff, and genuine relationship forged by the doctors.

This is a special community and we are blessed to call it home.

Sincerely,

(signed) Jared, Valerie,

and Reis Pickett
