September 6 Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Veterans who served during World War II, Korea, Vietnam and with the Guard will make the trip of a lifetime this Saturday, Sept. 6. Seven veterans from Palo Alto County will be on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
Palo Alto County veterans making the trip are James Brennan, Robert Myers and William Ortman from Emmetsburg; Howard Finnestad and Duane Meling from Cylinder; and Henry Lauck and Marvin Montag from West Bend. On the one-day trip to Washington, D.C., veterans will visit the World War II, Vietnam War and Lincoln Memorials. They will also visit Arlington National Cemetery and the Iwo Jima Memorial.
Donations of over $1,200 from Palo Alto County residents helped finance the Honor Flight. Donation of $2,400 from Iowa Trust &?Savings Bank and Wild Rose Casino &?Resorts made up the balance. Palo Alto County Veterans joined Kris Ausborn and Rick Brennan from Iowa Trust and Audrey Niemann from Wild Rose at the casino for this photo. Jones, Bill Ortman, Howard Finnestad, Henry W. Lauck, Duane Meling, Rick Myers, Bill Kleespies, Ron Nagel, Lee Schwartz, Michael Fogarty, Kelley Dvorak, Dick Graham, James R. Winthers, Dan Levy, Derek Woodfin and Terry L. Chamberlain.
