The Emmetsburg E-Hawk wrestling team has been busy this summer forging lifelong bonds between teammates and focusing on constant improvement.
Grand View Team Camp
The E-Hawks loaded up 3 suburbans full of 26 wrestlers and participated in the Grandview Team Camp June 7th. Grandview has won 3 straight National Championships and their Head Assistant Coach is former E-Hawk Paul Reedy.

Emmetsburg finished with a 4-2 record on the day and wrestled over 125 matches while in Grandview. They lost their first dual to Alburnett, tied their next dual (lost on criteria), and then reeled off 4 straight wins.
The E-Hawks have also been busy traveling to Morningside College, Sioux City to take part in their inaugural Summer Wrestling League. Morningside College has won the Great Plains Athletic Conference for the past 4 seasons.
Emmetsburg has made the trip to Sioux City for three Sundays (June 15, 22, & 29) and has brought 14 different kids to compete in 2-3 matches each night. The wrestlers have also taken advantage of Sioux City's larger culinary offerings and have eaten at Texas RoadHouse, HuHot Mongolian Grill, and Red Robin.
Want to Give Wrestling a Shot?
The E-Hawks have open mats Tuesdays & Thursdays at the Little E-Hawk Wrestling Facility from 6:00-7:00 pm. All ages, ability, and experience are welcome. All you need is a t-shirt, athletic shorts, and a great attitude to get started (we have wrestling shoes available for anyone new to the sport).
A special thank you to the entire community of Emmetsburg. Without your support, these types of events wouldn't exist. Emmetsburg is an extraordinary place only because extraordinary people live here!
