Bormann Named Volunteer Attorney for Iowa Legal Aid

The Hon. Donald Bormann, now retired, is working as a volunteer attorney for Iowa Legal Aid. This is made possible by a generous grant from the ?Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation. Mr. Bormann will be assisting clients of Iowa Legal Aid by providing advice and brief service.

Mr. Bormann will be volunteering in donated office space provided by the law firm of Berkland and Brown, Emmetsburg.

Low-income residents with non-criminal legal problems who wish to see Mr. Bormann must first contact Iowa Legal Aid by either creating a case online at www.iowalegalaid.com or calling 1-800-532-1275 on week days from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., except Thursday afternoon.

If their is an emergency, an application can be taken over the phone any time Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The staff will screen cases for eligibility and then forward those cases that qualify to Mr. Bormann. He will then contact the client directly.
