Buyers, Supporters Make Fair Auction A Success

Without the loyal and generous support of individuals, businesses and buying cooperative groups, the Premium Auction would not be possible. That belief in the future of youth was displayed again during Sunday's auction.

The buyers' cooperatives from Emmetsburg and Cylinder stepped up again to support the youth of the county throughout the entire auction. Those businesses and individuals supporting the Cylinder Merchants group included Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, Cylinder RV, Fred Reding Seed Sales, Ohrtman Ag, Weisbrod Inc, Steve and Chris Reding, Tom Eischen Sales, Ernie Williams Ltd., The Rack Shack, JT Body Shop, Ritch Berkland Seed, Estee Fogarty, Elbert Chevrolet, Whittemore Frozen Foods, Bonnstetter Auto Body, Kurt and Sara Bonnstetter, Bob and Tessie Hoch, Petersen Insurance Agency of Graettinger and Whittemore Truck & Trailer.

Members of the Emmetsburg Auction Boosters Cooperative included POET Biorefining, AG Processing (AGP), Mansmith Pharmacy, Food Pride, Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, Hughes Pharmacy, The Glass Shop, Hardware Hank and Jensvold Motors. Also participating in the Emmetsburg Auction Boosters group were Hughes, Brennan and Wirtz, Johnson Realty, Laurens State Bank, Martin-Mattice Funeral Home, Mehan, Holland & Central Financial Group, Pizza Ranch, Ver Mulm Eye Clinic, Wentzel's True Value/Just Ask Rental, Emmetsburg Collision, Emmetsburg Chiropractic, Building Centers of Emmetsburg and Estherville, Reedy Eye Clinic, The Financial Center and the USDA Soil and Water Conservation Service.

Also purchasing livestock premiums during the auction on Sunday were

PRO Coop, John Studer, Lyle Kenobbie, Chapman Contracting, ADM Feeds-Mike Salz, Jay and Julie Bargman Pioneer Seeds, West Iowa Bank, the Wild Rose Casino and Resorts, Fareway Stores of Emmetsburg, Spencer Ag Center, Craig and Karen Thu and Pat Sorenson.

Other premium auction buyers included Algona Livestock, The Kerber Companies, Banwart Trucking, Hurley Farms, Country View Acres, Bohn's PlainView Acres, West Fork Ag and Whittemore Feeders Supply.

Also purchasing premiums in the auction were VanHeuvelen Properties, Ruppert Farms, John and Bernie Kenyon, Phillip Schmitt, Trim Line Painting, Bob Jostand, Mogler Club Lambs, Jim Coakley, Jeff Joyce Pioneer Seeds, Berninghaus Masonry and Gowrie Livestock.
