ESTHERVILLE -- Memorial visitation for David Kinnetz of Estherville is Monday, June 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Pastor Rick Johnson will officiate.
David Leonard Kinnetz, the son of Leonard and JoAnn Miller, was born Feb.8, 1957, in Estherville. He passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 57 years.
He attended school in the Graettinger schools.
On July 4, 2002, David was united in marriage to Diana Wahlman in Estherville. The couple made their home in Estherville and David was employed in several different hospitality positions and also worked for Rim and Wheel, Stalls Farm and Home and had his own construction business. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, basketball and base- ball. He also loved driving his own car at Fairmont and Jackson Raceway. He especially loved attending sprint car races in Knoxville. A couple more interests David had were woodworking and glass etching.
David was a member of United Methodist Church in Graettinger.
Left to cherish David's memory are his wife, Diana of Estherville; son, John Wahlman and his wife, Katie of Wheaton, IL and their children, Elizabeth and Madelyn; a daughter; two granddaughters; mother, JoAnn Stueve of Graettinger; sister, Vickie Rooney and her husband, Bob of Armstrong; brother, Mark Kinnetz and his wife, Tammy of Graettinger; sister, Penny Lee and her special friend, Spencer Massey of Arnolds Park; sister, Lori Mortenson of Ringsted, and 'special peanut,' Katlynn Kramer.
Preceding David in death were his father; step-father, Gilbert Stueve; brother, Dennis; nephew, Chris and a daughter.
