During the Palo Alto Board of Supervisors meeting on May 13, the supervisors, acting in their capacity as trustees of the county's drainage districts, approved tax levies for 30 drainage districts. The purpose of the levy is to pay the outstanding warrants and claims that have been incurred by the districts.
Of the $2,414,640.64 total, $2,086,025 was levied on Drainage District North 15. Twenty year waivers are being offered on that district as well as for $86,100 worth of work that has been done in Drainage District North 15 Special.
Ten year waivers are also being offered to land owners in Drainage Districts 17 Main Tile, 175 and 180 Lat 30 Tile. The levy total for DD 17 Main Tile is $47,140.13, $60,034.84 for DD 175 and $21,063.14 on DD 180 Lat 30 Tile.
These new levies will go out with the September tax bills. Landowners will have until September 30, 2014 to pay the levies or sign up for the waivers, where offered
