There will be satellite absentee voting in Palo Alto County on Tuesday, May 27, at the following locations:
Mallard Community Center
Emmetsburg Ward 4, Fern Valley, Fairfield, Freedom, Independence, Vernon, part Emmetsburg and West Bend, Elllington, Rush Lake, Booth, Great Oak, Nevada.
Ayrshire Community Center: Emmetsburg Ward 3, Silver Lake, part Highland, part Walnut, part Emmetsburg and West Bend, Ellington, Rush Lake, Booth, Great ak, Nevada.
Ruthven Social Center: Emmetsburg Ward 3, Silver Lake, part Highland, part Walnut, part Emmetsburg and Graettinger, Ruthven, Lost Island, part Highland, part Walnut.
Satellite absentee voting will be open from 2 through 8 p.m.
Voters may also vote by absentee at the Courthouse Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The County Auditor's Office will be open on Saturday, May 31, for absentee voting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Voter registration forms will be available to make changes to your current voter registration. If you are not registered in Palo Alto County, you will need to do Election Day Registration before you can satellite vote. In order to complete this process you will need to provide proof of residency, proof of identity, and sign an oath. You can call the Auditor's Office for more information on this process.
The last day to file for an absentee ballot by mail is on Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m.
