The West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate Lady Wolverines finished second in the final Cornbelt Conference track meet last Tuesday in Armstrong.
Pacing the effort for WBM/GCB was the 4x200 relay of Harrison Schmidt, Madelyn Gehrt, Ashley Schmidt and Portlind Schmidt with their winning time of 2:00.44. The 4x400 relay, with Anna Zaugg, Portlind Schmidt, Ashley Schmidt and Madelyn Gehrt also took first with a time of 4:34.31.
The 4x800 relay comprised of Taylor Fogarty, Anna Zaugg, Ashley Schmidt and Portlind Schmidt took first in 11:16.65 and Lauren Thatcher took wins in the 1500 meter run with a 6:18.46 and the 3000 meter run with a 13:07.92.
The Lady Wolverines' 4x200 relay, made up of Liz Gehrt, Taylor Fogarty, Harrison Schmidt and Lauren Link, finished second in :58.00, while Taylor Fogarty finished the 800 meter run in 3:00.16 for a second place finish and Anna Zaugg took second in the 400 meter dash with a 1:06.25 clocking.
Harrison Schmidt earned a pair of third place finishes in the 200 meter dash with a :29.04 time and the long jump with a leap of 13'2".
Lauren Link finished fourth in the 100 hurdles with a time of :19.15 and Liz Gehrt placed fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of :15.1.
