LAKE PARK The Titan boys golfers of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire earned a third place finish while West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate's Wolverines finished fourth in the final Cornbelt Conference Boys Golf Tournament on May 5. The tourney was played at the Silver Lake Country Club in Lake Park. Harris-Lake Park won the tourney with a 356, while North Union was second with a 360. GT/RA shot a 369 and WBM/GCB carded a 382. Both Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne and Clay Central-Everly golfed incomplete, and shot a 556 and 624, respectively.
Parker Oleson of North Union was the medalist with a 79, with Jordan Kyle of H-LP earning runner-up honors with an 83.
GT/RA's Ethan Petersen earned First Team All Conference honors as he shot a 45 and 44 for an 89. Teammate Josh Petrich earned Second Team honors shooting a 45 and 46 for a 91. Kyle Dalen also earned Second Team honors as he carded rounds of 51 and 43 for a 94 and Jake Wegner also earned Second Team honors with his 48 and 47 for a 95. Rounding out the GT/RA scoring was Nick Josephson with rounds of 49 and 52 for a 101 and Nate Harris with rounds of 51 and 57 for a 108.
For the Wolverines, Taylor Bennett earned Second Team All Conference honors with his rounds of 48 and 46 for a 94. Brady Jenson would shoot rounds of 48 and 44 for a 92, while Jordan Buhs added a 48 and 49 for a 97 and Sam Frieden carded rounds of 50 and 49 for a 99. Cole Banwart carded a 53 and 48 for a 101 and Oliver Bjorkkrist added a 52 and 50 for a 102 to round out the efforts.
