ARNOLDS?PARK - Playing their second match in as many days, Emmetsburg's E-Hawks earned second place at Saturday's Okoboji Invitational, played at Emerald Hills. Okoboji would win the event with a 325 team score, while Emmetsburg edged out Sibley-Ocheyedan for second place in a tie-breaker using the fifth player's score with a 344.
For the E-Hawks, Mike Myers would shoot rounds of 49 and 42 to come away with an 81 for the day, while teammate
Michael Pugh carded a 40 and 42 for an 82. Luke Jackson added rounds of 45 and 45 for a 90, with Lane VerMulm carding a 46 and 45 to tally a 91.

Clayton Freeman shot rounds of 47 and 45 for a 92 and Brian Merrill rounded out the E-Hawk efforts with his rounds of 49 and 52 for a 101 stroke total.
"We had a tough day and did not play to or near our potential on Saturday,"?noted Emmetsburg Head Coach Kort Freeman. "We played well enough to get second place to the home Okoboji squad, but we are going to have to figure some things out if we are going to compete well down the stretch."
The Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans also golfed at Okoboji on Saturday and finished with a 402 stroke team score.
Leading the efforts for the Titans was Nick Josephson with rounds of 45 and 50 for a 90 stroke total over the 18 holes.
Ethan Peterson followed with a 49 and a 47 for a 96, with Nate Harris shooting a 52 and a 51 for tally a 103. Jake Wegner would round out the scoring with his rounds of 47 and 61 to tally a 108. GT/RA?would only field four golfers on the day.
