The boys track team for Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire competed Friday night at the HMS?Relays in Hartley and came away with more improved times and efforts.
The 4x800 relay, made up of Ethan Eldridge, Eric Sundall, Michael Girres and Marcus Girres, earned a third place finish with its' timeo f 9:11.3.
Marcus Girres would finish fourth in the 200 meter dash with a :24.15 time, while the 4x400 relay, with Ethan Eldridge, Tyler Hoffman, Garrett Parker and Eric Sundall, set a new school record with their 4:02.89 clocking, good for a fourth place finish.
Marcus Girres set a new school record in the 800 meter run, as he finished fifth with a time of 2:14.35. Sam George earned fifth place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:13.78 and in the 100 meter dash, Michael Girres also finished fifth, running an :11.82.
The Titans' Medley Relay, made up of Jon Georgopolous, Garrett Parker, Michael Girres and Eric Sundall, finished with a time of 4:"16.30 for a fifth place effort.
Cody Thompson set a new school record in the shot put, throwing the orb 40' to finish sixth, and the 4x200 relay, with Michael Girres, Jon Georgopolous, Garrett Parker and Marcus Girres, finished sixth with their 1:44.05 effort.
Eric Sundall set a new school record in the 1600 meter run with a 5:21.86 but did not place, and Tyler Hoffman also set a new school mark in the 400 hurdles with his timeo f 1:08.28, but did not place.
"We had another great night on the track at Hartley,"?noted Coach David Peterson. "We continue to lower our times and we reset three school records that we broke earlier in the season, and broke two more. The whole team is showing improvement and things are looking good."
