WEST?BEND - The West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate's Wolverine boys continue to turn in solid times in their past couple of outings.
On Thursday, April 17, the Wolverines ran at the Manson Northwest Webster Relays in Manson and finished seventh in the team scoring Davey Jergens earned a pair of third place finishes in the 100 meter dash with an :11.94 and the 200 meter dash with a :24.14. The 4x200 relay, with Travis Fehr, Nolan Dahlhauser, Jesse Zinnel and Davey Jergens finished third with a 1:39.81 and the Medley relay, Travis Davey Fehr, Jergens, Jeff Riesenberg and Jesse Zinnel, also took third with a 4:02.13.
The 4x800, Riesenberg, Nolan Grimm, Harmon Atwood and Jesse Zinnel, took sixth with a time of 9:23 and Travis Fehr finished sixth in the 200 meter dash with a time of :25.00.
"We ran some decent times for a cold night," noted WBM/GCB?Coach Jerry Vanderhorst. "The 4x200 ran well as did Davey Jergens in the 100 and 200."
On Monday, the Wolverines ran at North Union in the Jim Godfredson-Tom Elliott Relays and earned a seventh place finish in the team standings.
The 4x800 relay, Jeff Riesenberg, Nolan Grimm, Harmon Atwood and Jesse Zinnel won with a time of 9:16, and the 4x200, with Travis Fehr, Nolan Dahlhauser, Jesse Zinnel and Davey Jergens, also taking first place honors with a 1:40 clocking.
The Medley Relay, with Travis Fehr, Davey Jergens, Jeff Riesenberg and Jesse Zinnel took second in 3:59 and Davey Jergens finished the 100 meter dash in :11.9 and 200 meter dash in :24.2 to take third place finishes in both events.
The Wolverines' 4x400 relay, with Jeff Riesenberg, Nolan Dahlhauser, Nolan Grimm and Jesse Zinnel, would finish fourth with a time of 3:58 and Travis Fehr would earn fifth place in the 200 meter dash with his time of :25.2, while Nolan Grimm took fifth in the 800 meter run with a 2:19 clocking.
"We ran some good times and also ran with some determination on Monday,"?noted Coach Vanderhorst. "Jeff Riesenberg and Nolan Dahlhauser both looked good. We ran well even with a strong wind blowing all night long."
