Fifth Graders Cap Off Successful Season

The Emmetsburg Fifth grade boys travel basketball team recently completed a very successful season of play.

They group started play back in December and ended their year at the Emmetsburg Youth Basketball tournament back on Feb. 22.

During their campaign, the Fifth Graders captured tournament championships at the Cherokee tournament, the Orange City Dutch Tournament, Harris-Lake Park tournament and their own Emmetsburg Tournament.

The squad concluded their season with a 14-game winning streak.

Players for this season included Cole Rouse, Colby Weir, Landon Perdue, Lex Kassel, Kyle Kogel, Trenton Ditch, Alex Theesfeld, Donald Strohman, Ben Dunlap, Jordan Anderson and Grant Kibbie. Mike Dunlap and Craig Kassel served as the coaches for the team during the season.
