GRAETTINGER -- Celebration is in the air for the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire FFA chapter. Earlier this week they were notified that their design was among the top six vote-getters in the 2014 National FFA T-shirt Design Contest.
"I am so proud of the kids for their design," said Caryn Graham, GT/RA FFA advisor. "I think the coolest thing for the kids will be seeing their T-shirts in the FFA Shopping Mall at both the state convention next month and at the next national convention." Graham also added the school support as well as that of the community was wonderful.
The concept for the design - TGIF (Thank Goodness I Farm) and Reasons I Farm came from chapter member Kyle Long and then the whole group worked together and through an editing process settled on the ranking for the list of reasons.

The grand prize for the chapter includes 12 free "TGIF" shirts, a photo of the chapter next to the shirts in the National FFA Blue clothing catalog and online as well as 50 percent of the profits from the first year's sales of the shirts through the National FFA organization.
Graham said plans are in the works for a photo shoot with the group and their T-shirts.
The National FFA Blue catalog will be printed later this spring, but the shirts are available for online now.
