Former E-Hawk Earns All America Recognition

PITTSBURG, Kan. Former Emmetsburg standout Langston Jones was named to the 2013 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Honorable Mention Team

The senior linebacker for the Northeastern State football team was the leading tackler from Super Region 3 (for the second-straight year) by a 21-tackle margin. He finished fourth in the NCAA in both total tackles (141) and tackles per game (12.8). The versatile player also ranked 12th in the MIAA in tackles for loss (9.0) and 15th in pass breakups (8), while finishing with a pair of interceptions. He is fourth in career tackles (387) amongst all active Division II players.

Jones has been honored as the 2013 Oklahoma State College All-Star Defensive Player of the Year, and he has been named to the 2013 Daktronics All-Super Region 3 Second Team.
