The Bride was clothed in an elegant white floor-length gown with a veil that draped into the double train. The off-the-shoulder gown was embellished with crystals and lace appliqu.

The Groom sported a black tuxedo with white vest and sapphire blue ombre tie.

Cecilia's daughter, Rachel Miller, of Creighton, Nebraska served as Maid of Honor. Rachel was dressed in a strapless knee-length taffeta dress in sapphire blue.

Mark's friend, Ron Riha, of Emmetsburg served as Best Man. Ron wore a black tuxedo with sapphire blue ombre vest and tie.

Cecilia's God-Daughter, Sarah Stepp, of Lincoln, Nebraska was the Flower Girl. She was wearing a white knee-length frock with white cloth flowers on the bodice and a sapphire blue tie at her waist. Sarah's parents are Cecilia's long-time friends Nancy and Jimmy Stepp.

Cecilia's dear friend, Marilyn Gappa, of Emmetsburg guided the Bride exceptionally as her Personal Attendant. Members of Cecilia's Red Hat Club joyfully served as greeters at the ceremony and hostesses at the reception.

Soloist Jennifer Meyer and organist Myrna Heddinger performed at the ceremony.

On Joseph's altar was a Memorial Candle to honor Michael Durham, Dana Bliek, Iner and Mildred Moen and Jean Burgraff. On Mary's altar was a purple vase filled with river rock and purple Iris, symbolizing the bride's love of the Iowa River that ran through her grandparent's farm and also her favorite flower. Around the vase was a handkerchief that her brother Tim Durham had given her to enfold her tears at their brother Michael's funeral.

Special guests were the couple's sisters Theresa Durham Coman, New York; Monica Durham Stark, Iowa; Pam Wingert, South Dakota; and Teri Swier, Minnesota.

A luncheon reception and dance were held at the Parish Center. The three-tiered cake was topped with the Willow Tree 'Promise' figurine.

Bride and Groom are both locally employed, Mark at Dublin's Restaurant and Cecilia at A Heavenly Celebration. The new Mrs. Mark D. Moen has elected to transform her name to Cecilia Durham Moen.

After a weeklong honeymoon in Las Vegas, NV the blissful couple will continue to reside in Emmetsburg where they enjoy their membership at Holy Family Catholic Church, many supportive friends, their employment, numerous hobbies, and outdoor sports at Five Island Lake.
