West Bend-Mallard Achievement Foundation Celebrates Support of School Programs

Emmetsburg News

WEST BEND -- The West Bend-Mallard Achievement Foundation will host the third annual celebration of achievements on Tuesday, April 9.

This "Spring Celebration" recognizes the achievements that WB-M students and the district have accomplished this past school year.

In this very challenging time for schools everywhere, the West Bend-Mallard Achievement Founda- tion is celebrating the good things happening in the WB-M school district.

The West Bend-Mallard Achievement Foundation is the organization by which school patrons, parents, grandparents and friends of West Bend-Mallard may support the school through charitable, tax-deductible donations.

The goal of the West Bend-Mallard Achievement Foundation is to support existing programs in the school system, new programs for students, and educational opportunities for the faculty that may keep WB-M school at the high level of education and student achievement they currently enjoy.

Foundation members will host an evening with a prime rib dinner and entertainment by WB-M students. Attendees will be informed on how an effective Foundation can best serve the school.

This will be an opportunity to learn how school patrons, parents, grandparents and friends can help the Foundation in their endeavors to keep WBM achievements high.

Charitable donations to the Foundation can be accomplished in many ways.

Supporters can make an annual donation, memorial gift, or sell grain in the name of the West Bend-Mallard Achievement Foundation. These gifts will benefit the school without affecting state school budget regulations.

This Celebration of Achievements is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, in the West Bend gymnasium. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with an "Achievement Stroll" through a variety of projects students will have on display. A prime rib dinner will be served, followed by a program of entertainment from WB-M students.

A beautiful art piece by student Sarah Mader will be available through a silent auction that evening.

Advance tickets for $30 may be purchased at the school offices and from foundation members through Monday, April 1. Everyone is invited to attend this celebration.
