Donald G. King was born July 5, 1926, in Curlew. His parents were Bert and Mildred (Peters)?King. He attended school in Curlew and graduated in 1944.
Donald served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1969, during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Donald and Franca Trevisan were married Jan. 17, 1952, in Trieste, Italy.
After his retirement from the Army, Donald was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Wichita, KS. In 1991, Donald and Franca moved to Albuquerque, NM.
On Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, Donald passed away at the Albuquerque Heart Hospital.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Franca; son, Donald B. King and wife Joann; granddaughter, Francesca (Ted)?McIntire; and great grandson Killian, age 3, all of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are a sister, Janice (Dean)?Budd of Mallard; nephew, Dennis (Belle)?Budd, Cayden and Kinsley of Sioux Falls, SD.
Donald King was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gordon King; and sister-in-law, Beverly King.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
