Alice C. Rosacker 1911-2012

A Mass of Christian burial for Alice C. Rosacker will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruth-ven. The Rev. Clem Currans will officiate.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Ruthven. Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Ruthven. A C.D. of A. Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. and Parish Vigil Service will be at 5:30 p.m.

Alice Catherine Rosacker, daughter of James and Nellie (Kiley) Monk, was born June 26, 1911, near Ruthven. She received her education at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Ayrshire.

On Oct. 12, 1932, Alice was united in marriage to William Richard Rosacker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven. Alice and Dick farmed the farm that Alice was born on.

Alice was a lifetime and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven. She was active in Ladies Guild and a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 50 years.

Alice passed away Wed-nesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the Ruthven Community Care Center at the age of 101.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; a sister, Eva Rosacker; a brother, Bud Monk; sister-in-law, Izetta Monk; and brothers-in-law, Elmer Rosacker, Max Theilen, and Eldon Larson.

Surviving are her sisters, Irene Theilen of Charles City and Leone Larson of Ruthven; and her nieces and nephews.
