HULL?- Emmetsburg's Lady E-Hawk volleyball team bowed out of the post-season in a 3-0 loss to Boyden-Hull in Class 1A tournament play Tuesday night. Game scores were 16-25, 12-25 and 11-25.
Leading Emmetsburg's effort was Whitney Kibbie, who made 11 of 17 hits with three kills in the match, while adding 10 of 15 serves with one ace. Kibbie also dug out five shots and added one assist.
Ashton Connelly came up with 10 of 13 hits with two kills and assisted on a block =, while Miranda Vlasman came away with seven of nine hits and a kill, along with four of four serves and two digs.
Emily Noll completed nine of nine serves, assisted on one block and dug out one shot, while Jacque Carlson made two of five hits with one kill and connected on four of four serves.
Alexa Naig made eight of eight serves and added one hit, while digging out four shots and handing out four assists to her teammates.
Britni Will would connect on four of six serves and dug out two shots and libero player Michaela Rehm dug out eight shots in the match.
Overall, Emmetsburg made 39 of 41 serves with one ace, had 31 of 45 hits with seven kills, two assisted blocks, 22 digs and six assists on the night.
The season ends the careers of Lady E-Hawk seniors Miranda Vlasman, Whitney Kibbie, Jacque Carlson, Emily Noll, Britni Will and Katie Grandstaff.
