WEST BEND -- Funeral service for Marjorie L. Brown of West Bend was Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the United Methodist Church in West Bend. The Rev. Evelyn Lewiston officiated.
Burial was in the West Bend Cemetery. The Harris Funeral Home in West Bend was in charge of arrangements.
Marjorie Perkins?Brown, the daughter of Herschel and Edith (DeBolt)?Perkins, was born May 13, 1925, in Rodman. She was educated and graduated from West Bend High School.
On March 30, 1947, Marjorie and Richard Brown were married at the United Methodist Church in West Bend. The couple lived and farmed in and around west Bend. They moved to town in 1992.
Marge was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Bend and the circles of the church. She was a charter member of the West Bend Hawkeye F.F.A. Alumni. Marge enjoyed playing cards and she was an excellent cook.
Marjorie Brown died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in West Bend. She was 87.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of West Bend; sons Raymond (Linda) Brown, and Ronald (Kay) Brown, all of West Bend; daughters, Elaine (Leonard)?Nicol of Ankeny and Sheila (Ronald)?Balek of Manly; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Lester (Jane)?Perkins of Mankato, MN.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parent; a sister, Lois Tacke; brother, Melvin "Bud"?Perkins; and granddaughter, Jennifer Nicol.
