Letter to the editor:
If you watch television these days, you might be getting tired of all the political ads and hoop la for electing the president. When the smoke clears and the ads disappear I hope you will participate in the important 2012 election by voting. On the ballot you will find those running for the sheriff's position, one of the most important positions in Palo Alto County government.
Todd Suhr's background in law enforcement is a complete package with 29 years of experience. His skills and know-how in administration, public relations, finance, and court experience makes him the stronger candidate for this position. For this reason I am asking you to vote for Todd Suhr in November.
Be sure to check your new registration card for the correct polling location election day. You can exercise your voting privilege by requesting an absentee ballot by mail or going to the court house to vote on Oct. 27 from 8:00 to 5:00 or Nov. 3 from 9:00 to 5:00.
It is important to remember that there is satellite absentee voting in your community Oct. 30 from 2:00 to 8:00:
