The annual West Elementary Track and Field Day event took place on Friday, May 5 at the Emmetsburg High School athletic complex. The annual event features running events including the 300 meter run, 100 meter and 50 meter dashes for the students to compete in, as well as field events including the long jump, soccer ball kick, football throw and flying disc toss.
Students enjoy a picnic lunch at the field during the event, which has become the traditional end-of-the year activity for West Elementary students and their families
