Emmetsburg's Lady E-Hawk golfers opened the 2012 season with a runner-up finish in a triangular Monday at the Five Island Golf Course.
Spirit Lake would win the triangular with a 204, while Emmetsburg followed with a 216 and Storm Lake followed with a 240.
For Emmetsburg's first outing, Aleysha Schutz would card a 51 and was followed by Ashley Pelzer with a 53 and Taylor Knight with a 55. Paige Naig shot a round of 5 7, with Katie Ruiz adding a round of 64 and Katie Kassel shooting a 65.

In the Junior Varsity portion of the event, Spirit Lake won with a 226, while Emmetsburg shot a 264.
For the Lady E-Hawk JV, Hannah VanOosbree shot a 54, with Jacque Carlson shooting a round of 69. Josie Wickman shot a 70 , with Staci Schmeling adding a 71. Kaity Degen carded a round of 72, with Alison Gould shooting a 75 and Jenna Wolfe shooting 78.
Emmetsburg will play at West Bend on Friday in the County Girls meet at 4 p.m.
