Emmetsburg's E-Hawk Freshman boys lost a pair of close decisions in recent games on the hardwood.
On December 19, the freshmen E-Hawks hosted Estherville Lincoln Central in a fierce battle but came up short in a 49-42 decision.
Leading the way for the E-Hawks was Luke Jackson with 22 points, while Greg Wesley added nine points. Jacob Kibbie scored six points and Nick Jackson added five points to the effort. Greg Wesley grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists while Luke Jackson collected seven rebounds.
Resuming their season on January 5, the E-Hawks hosted Spencer but fell short in a 35-29 loss to the Tigers.
For Coach Tom Nostrom's squad, Luke Jackson would pick up the double-double with 12 points, 17 rebounds and five steals. Greg Wesley added seven points and nine boards while handing out five assists. Jacob Kibbie and Zach Anderson each scored four points and Nick Jackson had two points.
