Knight Grapplers Fall To Sibley-Ocheyedan

GRAETTINGER - The Knights of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire came up short in a 51-25 decision to Sibley-Ocheyedan as part of a double duel Tuesday night. The Knights lost to Emmetsburg by a 57-24 tally in the second match of the double-duel.

The Knights would open the match with Garth Wolf being pinned in 3:06 of his 152 pound match with Tyler O'Connor and at 160 pounds, Tym Hart would be the victim of a 2:35 pin by Tayler Block.

GT/RA would forfeit the 170 pound match before Matt McGrauth would lose an 8-1 decision to Jimmy Cuadros in the 182 pound match. At 195, Kyle Long was pinned in :26 of his match against Marshall Eddy and at 220 pounds, cody Thompson would fall victim to Mike Renken in a 1:25 pin.

A pair of forfeits at 285 and 106 pounds would follow before the Knights earned their first points of the night at 113 pounds when Tyler Dalen received a win by forfeit.

Austin Thompson would meet up with Bernt Reed in action at 120 pounds and would battle the Sibley-Ocheyedan grappler through three tough periods before earning an 8-4 decision victory to make the score 9-45.

After forfeiting the 126 pound match to the Generals, Graettinger-Terril/Ruth- ven-Ayrshire would come back with Connor Tonderum earning a 1:31 win by fall over Jesse Espinoza in the 132 pound matchup.

Ty Gibson would square off against Alex Fisher in action at 138 pounds and needed just 1:50 to score the win by fall for the Knights.

The final match of the duel would place Trent Lundgren against Tyler Reck in the 145 pound match. Lundgren would take an early 4-1 lead after one period and then slipped out to an 8-1 lead after the second period before taking the major decision victory with a 12-3 final score.
