GRAETTINGER - With little discussion, a motion to share football programs with neighboring Ruthven-Ayrshire was approved Monday night by the Graettinger-Terril Community School Board. A motion to share football with Graettinger-Terril had been approved a week earlier by the Ruthven-Ayrshire School Board on a unanimous vote.
Graettinger-Terril Prin-cipal Jesse Ulrich reported to the board that he had attended the Ruthven-Ayrshire School Board meeting to answer questions they had and that the RA board had first voted to share football, and then voted to share their football with Graettinger-Terril.
"If we approve this tonight, this makes our intent to share official with the state, is that correct?" asked G-T Board member Kevin Jensen.
"Yes, this would formally notify the state," Ulrich answered. "Our committees will get together along with the athletic directors and we will work out the specifics of the actual sharing agreement."
Jensen then moved to approve sharing football with Ruthven-Ayrshire, and board member Roger Schmitt offered a second. The motion was approved on a 4-0 vote of the board, with board member Galen Chicoine absent and not voting.
