To the Editor:
This nation, the envy of the world, the land of the free, the home of the brave, the United States of America, is a Republic. Men of good will, of diverse opinions, worked together to fashion our Constitution. It was eventually ratified by the majority of the citizens of the 13 former colonies.
Our Constitution has provided a stable and encouraging environment for a rambunctious and energetic people. We have become the most sympathetic and generous nation the world has ever known. We have also become the most productive and powerful. Our armed forces are second to none.
We are approaching a most critical national election. I urge everyone to become an informed and intelligent voter. Candidates for office are telling us why they should be elected. The media is providing information on these people. Various organizations are also providing information and persuasion.
I urge you to take part in this election. There is time to read, view and evaluate all the propaganda. Choose a candidate and support your candidate with words and money. You have much at stake, so get yourself involved, now.
