Casey’s Opens New Emmetsburg Store

Connie Boone is manager of the new store. She has been with Casey’s for 15 years, and the past six years as manager.
The management team also includes assistant managers Tasha Berg and Jim Goodlaxson.
Tasha is originally from Minnesota and located in Emmetsburg after completing her education. She started with Casey’s three years ago. Her grandparents, Dixie and Everett Vesey, live near Cylinder.
Jim is a native of Emmetsburg. He worked in retail at a Case IH?parts store for 12 years and he also worked at Skyjack for 12 years. Jim’s children are Katy of Spencer and Allen of Nevada, IA.
A tour of the new convenience store revealed a coffee bar that features six types of coffee and eight types of cappuccino, along with coffee flavors. There is also iced coffee and iced tea. At the fountain is KC’s Freeze along with a bank of soda dispensers. There is also soft serve ice cream.
The expanded kitchen area features breakfast, lunch and dinner items. In addition to pizza, donuts, cookies and items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the new Casey’s will offer subs and wraps. Plus, there is an area of ready-to-go salads and sandwiches.
Care to have coffee at Casey’s??There is seating for eight at the new store.
The expanded store features a refrigerated unit on the south wall for sodas, juice, dairy, beer and frozen items. There are more grocery and snack items, sunglasses and cell phone chargers, plus automotive supplies.
The restrooms feature diaper changing stations in men’s and women’s rooms.
There is even something new at the pump. In addition to super and unleaded, Casey’s offers diesel fuel.
Caskey’s is open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
Grand Opening is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 29-31. Customers will be treated to free coffee, 25-cent donuts and cookies and coupon specials.
