RUTHVEN - The Raiders of Ruthven-Ayrshire came up short in a match at Woden-Crystal Lake-Titonka on Tuesday night. WCLT won by scores of 19-25, 22-25 and 7-25 over hte Raider girls.

Sadie Forey made 11 of 11 serves iwth two aces, while Jessica Larson had 10 of 12 serves. Alesha Sikora added seven of eight serves with two aces and Geena Blake had seven of eigght serves. Megan Alexander had five of six serves and Caitlyn Reed came away with four of five serves for the Raiders in the effort.

Sadie Forey made 18 of 22 hits with two kills, wile Kendra Feldman maded 13 fo 15 hits with five kills. Megan Alexander made 12 of 12 hits and Caitlyn Reed added eight of 11 hits with a kill and Mirada McGrauth chipped in five of nine hits with one kill.

Caitlyn Reed dug out seven shots, while Sadie Forey had six digs. Jessica Larson made three digs, while MEgan Alexander had two digs. Geena Blake and Miranda McGrauth both added one dig.

Sadie Forey blocked two shots and Kendra Feldman had one block.

Megan Alexander dished out five assists and Alesha Sikora handed out two helpers.

“We were hoping to come away from tonight with a victory to start off our conference season, but that didn’t happen,” noted RA?Head Coach Kim Sierck. “ The girls played very competitively in games one and two, but they didn’t quite finish those games strongly enough. In game three, we got down 1-6 early on, and even with a time out to try to regroup, things didn’t turn around. Obviously, this is disappointing, and we have to continue to build confidence and get the girls to mesh on the court.”
