TENTH ANNUAL GOSPEL SONGFEST - The Gospel Songfest was held Sunday afternoon at the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend. A large crowd was on hand to enjoy the gospel music of three acts, including Pure Faith, West Bend’s own Redemption Singers, and SoundTrack (pictured above), an Ames-based Christian music group. With the Knights of Columbus grilling up supper and the weather cooperating, there was no reason to look elsewhere to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

STRIKE UP THE BAND – Municipal Band concerts are held each Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at Courthouse Square in Emmetsburg. A variety of musical selections are played, including marches, patriotic pieces, popular songs, and more. The Emmetsburg Municipal Band will play three more Thursday evening concerts—June 18, June 25, and July 2—before wrapping up their season with their final concert on the Fourth of July at Soper Park. – Lori Hall photo
