The Emmetsburg Retail Association will be hosting their next community-wide event this Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13.

The Retail Association’s co-chairperson, Laura Blanchet (Mainstreet Memories Mall), has announced that all customers during the event will be Winners! This event’s theme is “Every Penny Counts, so spin around town to win!” With over 14 participating local businesses for this promotion, customers will be given the opportunity to spin an arrow on a color board that will determine what they win.

Four colors are available on each color board, allowing customers to land on green, yellow, blue or orange. Those who land on green will be entered in a drawing for one of seven wallets, full of surprises, coupons and “Lucky Bucks.” The wallet drawing will be held on Wednesday, June 17.

Yellow winners will be given a Retail Association “Lucky Buck” to spend in another participating store during this event.

Landing on the blue space will award spinners a free coin purse.

Orange spinners will be given a special in-store discount during the event.

Prior to the “Every Penny Counts” event, Chamber businesses will be handing out colored pennies to remind customers about the upcoming event. Colored pennies will also be able to be found scattered around town prior to the event dates.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Cecilia Miller, tells us that each event is created as a special ‘Thank you” to the loyal local shoppers, as well as a way of introducing new shoppers to Emmetsburg community stores.

The Emmetsburg Retail Association is a division of the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce and they hold five special events each calendar year.
