Emmetsburg’s E’Hawks made their final two road games of the season Monday and Tuesday nights, but came up with a pair of losses in the efforts. The E’Hawks slipped under .500, going to 7-8 in the Lakes Conference, and 15-11 overall on the season. Traveling to Cherokee on Monday night to take on the league leading Braves, Emmetsburg got off to a good start after a scoreless first inning. With Ryan Wuebker on the hill, the E’Hawks played good defense in the first inning after being retired in order in the top of the frame. Emmetsburg led off the top of the second with a put out of Mitch Wagner, but a single by Tyler Kliegl was followed by a pair of hits from Ethan Dykstra and Tyler Schmeling to load the bases. After Bobby Mortenson hit a line shot to right field for the second out, Langston Jones belted a double that scored his three teammates before a strikeout of Brett Wollum ended the at-bat.
